Gradient Lips!

So I’ve noticed a Korean trend that started hitting America recently. Gradient lips, also sometimes called ombre lips, are a super cute trend that makes you look youthful and…nubile, Is up pose that would be the word. Anyways, I’ve been doing it so much lately that I’ve kind of switched from regular lipstick wear.

Step 1:

I like Elf’s lip exfoliator.

Mine is almost gone.

Smooth as a pair of slightly not chapped lips! Again, it’s winter. This is as good as I get.

Step 2:

Use some foundation and dab it along the outside of your lips. you don’t need to cover the whole thing, just enough so the outside will be lighter. Try not to use actual concealer, as it’s too thick and will be messy.

Step 3:

Apply color of choice to the inner part of your lip. Use a finger to blend lightly outward, so it mixes a bit with the foundation. You can take it a step further by taking a similar and darker color and adding a tiny bit to the innermost line of your lips. If you like the glossy look, apply a clear or lightly colored gloss over the top.

Finished look:

I think it’s a super sexy way to do a nude lips without looking like a ghost. You can use any color, but I used my new lippie from the shopko haul:

Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in Luna. Half-stain, half gloss, highly pigmented. I want all the colors! This is like YSL’s glossy stain, or an almost exact [and more expensive] copy would be Missha’s Ever Lasting Lacquer which is in practically the same packaging.
