Review: NYX Powder Blush in Flamingo

Taking a quick break from Korean products to review the last item from my NYX haul. I bout this as a filler to get free shipping, so I didn’t expect much. I’ve been experimenting with blush colors because I’m having a hard time figuring out what looks best on my skin.

To be honest, I’m not a fan of powder blush. I already wear setting powder so I find that it just looks too damn chalky. Alternatively, creams are too heavy during hotter months. But I’m still very, very far away from warm weather. I think it’s 7 degrees outside. Yes, that is fahrenheit. Ugh.

The color out of the cake is bright, bright pink. Like hot pink that you see on a plastic lawn flamingo. However, It has a nice sheerness to it when brushed on that makes me hopeful of a more natural hue-

Well, I actually kind of like the brightness. It is definitely well pigmented so be careful of how much you load onto your brush. The texture wasn’t thick and chalky, so that makes me happy. However I need a little blending because I have the 80’s blush stripe going on in above picture. Overall a good product, but not exceptional.

Rating: 3/5

Would I buy again? Probably not. Maybe in the summertime, if I start liking powders again.
